The best property I have stayed in and my new favorite Mandarin Oriental globally. Highlights: The View: An uninterrupted, breathtaking view of the Forbidden City from the terrace and our bedroom. The Bar: Bar Manager Quantin has created an atmospheric, quirky space. The Mongolian yurts on the terrace for shisha (Black Russian tobacco) and cigars are a stroke of genius. The Service: Marvin and Peter Yu at the Front Desk were professional, precise, and incredibly welcoming. The entire FO team is top-tier. The Management: GM Richard has created a masterpiece here. His personal touch—especially his beautiful calligraphy in the welcome notes—sets the tone for the stay. Dining: Café Zi offers perfection on a plate, from breakfast to Cantonese dinners. The Room: Impeccably clean (compliments to housekeeping) and beautifully decorated with tasteful local silks. It has the intimate, cozy vibe of the MO Mayfair but with a character all its own. An absolute must-stay when in Beijing.

This hotel provides a great experience and exceptional services. All the staff, from the doorman and reception to the cleaners, have performed their duties very well, offering professional service and great hospitality, as expected from a hotel of this caliber. In particular, Ms. Shao and her team, who decorated the room, did an excellent job. The room is lovely, with partial views of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The hotel is situated above a mall in a bustling shopping area, making it easy to travel around, with plenty of dining options nearby.
We stay here with my families. We are impressed with their service and welcome amenities! It’s a forbidden city made of chocolate, how amazing it’s . They also provide varies of welcome amenities. The room itself is modern and spacious and the hotel itself is very convenient which located in Wangfujing so kind of the central of Beijing , accessible to anywhere
Overpriced for the service. We had a really bad smell in the room, eventually they changed the room when the smell happened again. They apologised with an afternoon tea for two when we were three… Most of the staff were nice apart from one person from the restaurant that was decently painful, the manager eventually sorted it out. Regarding the staff, it was very surprising to see how many people could not speak english. When it comes to room making, etc , I think it’s understandable but for e.g. it was the same issue at the spa, thought they were very nice, it was just difficult to explain what we wanted. The week we went, there was the MO world management visiting the hotel and having their big meeting. When they arrived, the staff paid way less attention to customers. Maybe the management and staff should be reminded that this is a client business ? Overall too pricey and very inconsistent service. Maybe it was just bad luck to be there on this particular week but I would not try it again.
Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance from The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The food was great and the staff very accommodating. Osgood, the Chief Concierge, was particularly helpful with arranging transportation and giving all around good advice. Spa had good services as well. I hope to return.
