We've been traveling through China for nearly a month, so pulling up to the Pan Pacific Suzhou felt like a sudden shift—it is a massive, distinctly Western-style property. The environment is truly lovely. The gardens, especially the Pan Men scenic area right next door, are a total highlight and provide such a peaceful setting. Inside, the hotel is grand and spacious, with a fantastic breakfast buffet that strikes a great balance between traditional Chinese and Western options. However, the sheer scale of the place makes it feel a bit impersonal. It's so spread out that I actually found it confusing to navigate the hallways. Also, be aware that you are pretty isolated here; you'll need a taxi to get to almost anywhere of interest in the city. I was also disappointed by the room amenities. For a hotel of this caliber, it was strange to find no coffee machine and an empty mini-bar—it felt like a missing touch. Overall, I'm giving it 5 stars because there wasn't anything actually wrong with our stay; everything was clean and well-maintained, but it definitely lacked that cozy, personal atmosphere I usually prefer.

Rooms are beautiful and big, the suite is worth the money for sure. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options but not of the best quality. Beautiful location with plenty to see. Laundry is good although I had someone take my clothes out the dryer and leave them in a basket on the floor, still damp… hopefully the machine finished it’s cycle and it wasn’t someone being rude… Booked this hotel purely because it had a pool that looked nice, considering the July heat. What wasn’t mentioned in any of the booking process when paying for a suite with pool access - was the fact that the pool is open to the public and even has swimming lessons running at all hours. It is constantly so jam packed with loud kids running around that we never had a chance to use it. Not expecting kids to be kicked out because of it… I just think this should be advertised..
Great hotel with a unique experience. The hotel itself has a garden that is good for photo taking. It was most unfortunate that we did not have much time to tour the Panmen area which the hotel has direct access. My friends and I check into a family room which is well equipped with a kitchenette. Room is well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Special thanks to Polly 程宇 at the concierge who helped us with our Taobao deliveries. The only drawback is that it takes about 30 mins to get to the tourist spots, Ping Jiang road and Jin Ji lake.
Upon arrival, the front office team was not very welcoming. During check-in, they gave no explanation of the facilities, just processed everything mechanically without any warmth. Luckily, we only had to deal with them briefly. We stayed 2 nights. The room attendant, 圣书扣, greeted us with a smile every time we met. She is very friendly, helpful, and pays attention to details – truly a 5-star service. During our stay, 圣书扣 made our experience warm and pleasant. Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel is also conveniently located next to Panmen Garden.
The hotel is very beautiful and we were looking forward to visit. It is set amongst wonderful traditional chinese gardens. The building is an older style and well maintained. The rooms and bathroom very comfortable. We had a buffet breakfast with our overnight accomodation. There is a variety of choice for both chinese and western style breakfasts. One thing i like to point out is that a young staff member serving our area at the breakfast area took our plates before we were finished. We felt it was hurried and we had to make space for new guests. This experience was not nice. I hope there can be room for improvement in this otherwise beautiful hotel in a great location
