Your journey begins in style with a private transfer to The Balmoral Hotel, where you'll meet your dedicated Whisky Ambassador and fellow guests. From there, you’ll transfer to Waverley Station to board the Royal Scotsman, your luxurious home on rails. As the train departs Edinburgh and travels north, enjoy a traditional full Scottish breakfast while crossing the iconic Tay Bridge into the historic Kingdom of Fife. Relax in comfort as the Royal Scotsman begins its scenic adventure through the heart of Scotland, setting the tone for the unforgettable days ahead.
Begin your day with a hearty full Scottish breakfast before disembarking in Tain for an exclusive visit to Glenmorangie House and the renowned Glenmorangie Distillery. Founded in 1843, Glenmorangie is celebrated for its exceptional single malts and its innovative approach to whisky-making, particularly through its use of unique cask finishes. Discover time-honoured production methods during a guided tour, followed by a tutored tasting of their signature expressions. Enjoy a light lunch before rejoining the train in the afternoon.
Relax as the Royal Scotsman winds through one of the UK’s most breathtaking rail routes. Pass Loch Luichart and the ancient Torridon mountains, ascend to Luib summit, and glide through Achnashellach Forest. Follow the shoreline of Loch Carron past picturesque villages before arriving in Kyle of Lochalsh. A formal dinner is served onboard, followed by coffee and liqueurs in the Observation Car.

This morning, relax with a full Scottish breakfast onboard as the Royal Scotsman departs Dundee, crossing the Tay Bridge into the historic Kingdom of Fife.
