The hotel is excellently located, close to Wan Chai Market, shops and other businesses, a mere 10 minute walk from Wan Chai subway stop and some 15 minute walking from the convention and exhibition centre, but nonetheless out of the busy avenues and noisy streets, which is rather rare in this part of Hong Kong. Also, I appreciated the fact that in a matter of (very few) minutes one can get to the verdant slopes leading up Mount Cameron and farther to Mount Nicholson, with fine walking, relaxing and running options. The steep street leading to the hotel others mentioned is very short (50 m. or so) and I had no problem to walk up even with a big backpack and troller; taking a taxi up there (I saw it a few times) has the driver make awkward manoeuvres to reverse including a rather tight, steep curve and is totally unnecessary. The hotel is very well kept and clean. Rooms are spacious, coming together with a sitting, dining and cooking / laundry washing area, and useful amenities such as an iron and iron board or a hair drier and safe deposit box are provided. Staff is always there to help, while complimentary tea / coffee and fruit can be found at the reception. I also appreciated the fact that they obliged and booked a room at a lower level (the hotel being the locally typical 20 something floor spear). While breakfast is not provided, the vicinity of the market makes it very easy to organize either with supplies from there or in one of the many small restaurants some of which open at 7:00 or 6:30 AM. When all is said and done, a recommended place to stay in Hong Kong and I shall definitely stay there if I visit again.

Hotel is in a great location - Wan Chai neighborhood has lots of character and is short walk to MTR station. Though be ready for a super steep hike up and down each day, gets pretty slippery on rainy days and would be challenging with luggage! Staff were mostly helpful with calling a cab upon departure though could be terse on some days. Room was spacious for Hong Kong but on the older side and worn out (insides of wardrobe was dusty and the bathroom sealant were looking worn). Power outlets - strangely the don’t have one in the bedroom. Also note that there weren’t any universal outlets so be sure to bring your adapters or ask the borrow from front desk. Bed was comfy but I may have gotten bedbug/flea bites on my arms from sitting on the couch (given the multiple bites on both arms in a straight-ish line🥴). Emailed the hotel and hopefully they’ll take appropriate measures like they said. Another thing is about the room design - the stylish renovated rooms with teal tiles you see in marketing are special rooms only on the top two floors only so double check before booking. Since they used those images for the main page, we’d assumed this was the overall look of all rooms and were a bit surprised upon arrival. We asked the front desk about this the say its clearly stated that new decor is for rooms with the name “Ying” in it only but sites like booking.com won’t show exact images next to each booking option and that other guests have asked about this before. If it’s a repeat occurrence, I’m thinking they should revisit how they promote but oh well.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to public transportation and convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are small but functional and very clean. The staff was always kind and helpful, even providing us with umbrellas whenever it was raining, which we really appreciated. The only point that could be improved is the breakfast — it would be nice to have more sweet options available.
We reserved four rooms for our small wedding party for our civil ceremony in Hong Kong. We were not disappointed. The size of the rooms was spacious for one to two people, and since we were staying a week the washer/dryer combo was a huge bonus. The location was excellent, steps away from delicious restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, and there were comfortable, chic hangout areas where our group of five often spent time chatting. The hotel is located on a pretty steep hill, but each time we took a taxi the taxi driver was willing to drive up the hill to drop us off directly in front of the hotel entrance (we did have to specify that we wanted them to go up the hill though). At the end of our stay, the hotel staff was also kind enough to call a taxi for us to come directly to the entrance since we did have a quite a bit of luggage. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again in the future.
Great hotel but if you plan to drag your luggage yourself to the hotel, be prepared to do steep hike to reach the lobby. The alley to the hotel feels like 35 degrees hike. The room was big enough for two person , we got a little dated room but pretty convenient. There was small kitchen with electric stove, basic cooking tools, microwave. The hotel is within walking distance to Samsen and hopewell mall. Easy to find food.
