This place is quite literally INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend. Lot's of things to do outside of just game drives, which we really enjoyed!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! Wonderful staff and the game drives were unforgettable! On-site spa services, a pool, open bar, even a clinic in case you're sick. Such a wonderful place and so sad to leave! Thank you!!
Incredibly special, unforgettable stay. Incredibly warm and personal service, great staff. John Kaelo is a talented guide and a wonderful person. Sundowners in the bush super cool. This is a five star property with great views, great game drives, so many animals even in off season. As for the space - Entirely renovated just this year and the spacious, air conditioned rooms (tents), with their private balconies, are comfortable and cool. Bar very nice. We saw elephants right from our balcony. Try everything Chef Eddie makes and don't miss the chance to get his cookbooks from the on-property shop.
Our stay at Mahali Mzuri was exceptional in every way. The lodge has a wonderful family atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome and cared for. The team goes above and beyond to create a warm, home-like environment while still maintaining the highest standards of comfort and service. One of the absolute highlights of our visit was our safari guide, Betty. Her knowledge, professionalism, and incredible spotting skills transformed each game drive into an unforgettable adventure. Betty not only showed us an amazing variety of wildlife but also took the time to explain behaviors, habitats, and conservation efforts in a way that was both fascinating and engaging. Her warmth and enthusiasm truly made our experience special. Also, special thanks to the trainee guide, Elvis, who share with us wonderful Masai stories. Mahali Mzuri offers a perfect blend of luxury, personal connection, and world-class guiding. Thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We cannot wait to return! Elena & Simona
Our one-year wedding anniversary trip to Mahali Mzuri was nothing short of magical. Beyond the breathtaking views and incredible wildlife, we were so moved by the camp's deep commitment to sustainable tourism and the well-being of the local Maasai community. This isn't just a luxury safari; it's a model for responsible travel that truly resonates with us. From the moment we arrived, we noticed how genuinely happy and proud every employee was. It was so important to my husband and I to choose a place that values its people, and it's clear why Mahali Mzuri is the camp everyone in the community strives to work at. The fact that the entire staff is Maasai speaks volumes about their commitment to supporting and empowering the local villages. The camp itself is stunning, with the recent renovations bringing a new level of comfort and elegance. The air conditioning was a welcome luxury (not typical for camps in the Mara), especially as we were celebrating in the heat of the day, and the heated pool was a perfect place to unwind. We also loved seeing the smaller details, from the organic garden that supplies the kitchen to the focus on reducing their environmental footprint. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. They surprised us with a private bush dinner under the starry African sky—the Milky Way was absolutely incredible. Later, they presented us with a delicious cake and a beautiful Maasai dance to celebrate. Their generosity and thoughtfulness made our anniversary an experience we will cherish forever. The food was exceptional, easily rivaling high-end restaurants at hotels in the States. Chef Eddie makes his breads on site and I’m impressed with his range and skill in the kitchen. And a huge thank you to Dennis for his masterful drinks, especially his espresso martinis, which were honestly better than any I've had in New York City. Lastly, we have to highly recommend our guide, John. His knowledge of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy is phenomenal. He has a gift for anticipating animal movements and a quiet passion for wildlife that is contagious. Within 24 hours of arriving at Mahali, we had already checked off the Big 5 on our list (including a pride finishing off a water buffalo). After our incredible time with him, we moved on to another camp (Entim) in the Mara Reserve and were disappointed by the contrast in guiding quality. John truly set a standard that will be hard to beat. Mahali Mzuri is more than a luxury getaway; it’s a place that makes a real, positive impact. We can't wait to return.
