Karnak Temple & Luxor Museum
Dedicate today to the East Bank, beginning at the vast Karnak Temple Complex, Egypt’s largest religious site. Walk among the 134 massive columns of the Hypostyle Hall, stand before ancient obelisks, and visit the Sacred Lake, all while learning about 2,000 years of construction. After lunch, visit the Luxor Museum, home to stunning statues, jewelry, and artifacts, including items from Tutankhamun’s tomb. The afternoon is free to relax at your hotel or explore local markets. In the evening, return to Karnak for the Sound and Light Show, which brings the story of Thebes to life through dramatic narration and illuminated ruins. Overnight in Luxor, reflecting on the power of a city once considered the beating heart of ancient Egypt.
