One word for this place - hospitality! Everyone was so nice and we were made to feel special from the moment of arrival to the moment we left. The location is slightly outside of Marrakesh but we found that to be perfect, we could choose when to head in to face the amazing chaos, but then return back here for calm when we wanted to. No need to worry about taxis either, you have a WhatsApp chat set up and as and when you need a taxi you just text them where you want to go, or if your out and about, text them where you are so they will come pick you up and bring you back - all fixed costs so no need to haggle taxi drivers or worry they are overcharging you. I state this because it just made us feel safe and everything so easy, we were worried that we were a little bit out of town before our arrival and how we would get back if it was late in the evening - but with their service, it's absolutely nothing to worry about. We had such an amazing time. We will recommend here to everyone and we will be back! Thank you again to all the staff, you are amazing, kind-hearted people!
First of all, I dont understand how people can stay in the same hotel and have such different experiences, looking at the most recent reviews. I booked this hotel for a birthday break, expecting the "5-star luxury" experience advertised. Having travelled globally, I can confidently state this property doesn't even meet 3-star standards. The online photos are a complete fabrication, the hotel is in a state of decay with zero recent investment. I paid a premium price for a high-end experience and was met with total incompetence. The Room from Hell: The state of the room was appalling. The entire ceiling was covered in mosquitoes, there was visible mould on the walls, and the plumbing was so poor there was no hot water for morning showers. Despite the "luxury" tag, the room lacked basic essentials: no kettle, no fridge, no safe, and no drinks provided. Because our room was near the front gate, the constant noise made it impossible to get any sleep. Hygiene & Maintenance: The property is neglected and dirty. Bird droppings on the main patio door to the pool remained there for three days straight. Even the "clean" kitchen coffee cups and cutlery were filthy. Furthermore, they chose the middle of our stay to conduct noisy refurbishment work around the pool, the drilling and hammering were so loud we couldn't even hear each other speak. The Breakfast Disaster: Do not believe the 7:30 AM start time. Breakfast starts whenever the staff decide to show up—often past 8:00 AM—and it takes 40 minutes to serve. On the first day, we were offered nothing but bread and jam. When we actually managed to order, they got it wrong twice, I asked for a cheese omelette and was served scrambled eggs with tomatoes. To top it off, no hot drinks were offered until we finished eating Incompetent Service & Safety: The staff are ghosts. They are nowhere to be seen for hours and don't answer their WhatsApp. When I was in pain and asked for a simple Paracetamol, they had no medical supplies or assistance on-site. It is terrifying to think what would happen in a real emergency, especially since no one is around after 9:00 PM. Ruined Birthday Plans: The hotel "recommended" and booked a local restaurant for my husband’s birthday. They failed to mention a dress code or that a major football match was happening. We were refused entry at the door and spent over an hour each way stuck in a taxi. Final Insult: Despite missing our first night due to flight changes, they still insisted on charging us city tax for the night we weren't even there. Summary: This place has potential, but it is poorly organised and feels like a money-grab. You will regret staying here. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Absolutely incredible stay at Playa El Miria Riad in Morocco! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The riad itself is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms were simply stunning — every detail felt luxurious and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and were always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. A special mention has to go to Aziz, who was honestly amazing throughout our stay. He was always there with a smile, making sure we were happy, comfortable, and laughing every day. He truly went above and beyond and is a real credit to the riad. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly — if you’re visiting Morocco, Playa El Miria Riad is an absolute must stay!!!
Cozy, small with amaizing staff. Breakfast in local style - diffrent then we get use to in Europe. Personalny wouldnt pick this option secend time. Evening meals were amaizing - good price and really tasty. Recomend to look for the botanica products they offer. I was sure can buy when will get back home due to bagage limited and sadly there is nowhere to get it aparat of Marakesh - postage of course to expensive to be worh it. Hotel is outside the city centre which for we was a massive plus as could find some peace after walks alonge busy old town. Ask for taxi on the reception - maby you could get it slightly cheeper some where else (or get scammed), but the drivers are recomended by hotel and can be trusted what in my opinion means a lot there. Overall - amaizing place.
