A wonderful experience in such a beautiful, cultural and historic Riad in the Medina. Breakfast was a traditional Moroccan breakfast. The staff could not have been more helpful. Being an historic building did limit some of the services but these were more than compensated by the beautiful context. It was a privilege to be able to stay here we would not hesitate to return. A reasonable price.

When we first arrived, the receptionist was friendly, so we tipped him generously. However, the experience turned sour later. When we asked where to buy bottled water, he told us the hotel had some but didn't mention the price. It wasn't until we were leaving that he charged us an exorbitant 25 Dh per bottle (75 Dh for three). To make matters worse, he slammed the door as we left, which was incredibly rude and left us with a terrible impression. Regarding the room, it felt slightly damp. The shower temperature was very unstable—fluctuating between cold and scalding hot—which was dangerous. That said, I do want to thank the service staff who were very proactive in trying to fix the room issues. However, given the price we paid, I expected a much better experience.
The room was humid, and water leaked near the window when it rained. There was no hot water, although the staff tried hard to fix the issue. No bottled water was provided, and bottled water from the hotel costs 25 dirhams without prior notice, while supermarkets sell it for around 5 dirhams. Breakfast was average, and food often took about 20 minutes to be refilled due to limited staff. For this price, there are better places to stay.
This is a beautiful property in a great location in the Fes medina. It has a lot of potential. I am part of a tour of Morocco. All of the riads we have stayed at have supplied us with bottled water. This one did not. Seven of the 12 members of our group came down with traveler's diarrhea after eating our evening meal. The rooms were renovated but dirty and dated. With so many riads in the Fes medina, I'd suggest passing on this one.
Our experience at this Riad was extraordinary. On arrival, the owner's son kindly offered his parking spot for our convenience, reflecting the safe, friendly neighborhood. The Riad itself radiates the family's love and warmth, making us feel like part of their family. Its excellent location made exploring easy and comfortable. This place has won our hearts, and we can't wait to return. The delicious, warm breakfasts and the attentive staff added to our wonderful stay. A true gem where guests are treated like family, we highly recommend it.
