Maputo is a nice place but if you drive a foreign registration car especially Gauteng Province. The police will be your only problem. Just have cash ready.

The hotel is very well located within the city and the staff are quite pleasant and friendly although there was a bit of a language barrier since I had to use Google translate for some stuff. I was staying on the 3rd floor, where there was no Wi-Fi on that floor, over my 3 day stay, neither was there hot water, plus the coffee kettle in my room had rust in it and the sink in the bathroom took a while to drain. I don't really think it warrants its 5 star rating, I will say the breakfast was not too bad.

The hotel is nice and big. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. There's a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Portuguese. The rooms are comfortable but very outdated. No hairdryer and a bathtub with an old shower head that makes a mess every where. Also the breakfast is very limited and bland
