I'm absolutely speechless about this place...the location, the views, sunset, food and the people... Everything and everyone is here the best. One of me favorite places on earth 😇 Many thanks for Josephine - she's such a great person.

A magic location, with great views across the plains to the mountains and Namib Desert. The roads are fun to get to Moon Mountain Lodge with 80% of our journey from Windhoek being on dirt tracks. Must stop at Solitaire before getting to the lodge - quite an experience in the middle of no where ☺️ The location is great for getting to Deadvlei - a must visit. But beware, like anywhere in Namibia, you still have a long drive ahead of you. We had a very nice welcome and tour of the facilities. Our room which was a glorified luxurious tent, with a proper roof, permanent steel structure and good bathroom facilities. It also had a verandah with magnificent views and a plunge pool (a little cold for us) Meals and drinks are excellent. Lovely to sit with a cocktail watching the sunset before having dinner. On the first night it was pretty chilly and when we returned to our tent, our beds were turned down and there were hot water bottles in them - what a treat ☺️ Nothing to fault and would recommend to anyone.
This property is NOT luxury tented accommodation! It shouldn’t even be open in the summer months. The ‘fan’ they have in the room only pumps out hot air during the day as it’s 35+ degrees outside. It’s dangerous to have this type of property open. The furniture in the room is uncomfortable and the plunge pool is dirty with no comfortable furniture to sit on outside. This property is over a two hour drive to Deadvlei so it’s not even in a good location. Priced at over £300 a night it’s disgusting amount to pay for a view. We had to leave after just one night and the property refused to respond to Expedia after several attempts to get a refund for the night we didn’t use. I work in luxury travel and I can assure you this is not luxury. We stayed at Desert Quiver right by the entrance to the national park which was a third of the price and had air conditioning. My advice is do not stay at the property.
This is one of the most memorable lodges from our trip to Namibia. The location and the setting are absolutely breathtaking. It is impossible to describe the beauty and uniqueness of this place. We went on a tour to Sossusvlei through the lodge and it was exceptional with a very nice picnic lunch (handy after hiking the dunes!). The rooms and the bathroom are very spacious, and one can view the most beautiful sunset from the room. Also, big thank you to the wonderful staff who prepared delicious meals and took such a great care of us. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area :)
This is indeed a very beautiful lodge. The rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the private dipping pool and set up of the bathrooms. So much thought and detail went into this lodge to cater for guests needs whilst ensuring ones privacy as well. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The service was great and the food even better. Thumbs up to the owner who captured this beauty in our Namib desert. The lodge was built in such a way that all guests rooms can enjoy the surrounding landscapes and beauty of the night skies where one felt so close to God and nature. It felt like you could almost reach out and touch the stars from your rooms, own wrap around deck. It took my breath away. a Real gem in the middle of nature! I highly recommend this lodge! 👌💫
