We stayed at The Weinberg Hotel for one night at the beginning of our two-week, self-planned honeymoon through Namibia. It was our first stop after landing in Windhoek and made for a great introduction to the country. Our flight arrived around 10 a.m., which is a bit of an awkward arrival time since most hotels in Namibia don't check guests in until around 2 p.m. The team welcomed us, stored our luggage, and pointed us toward Olivia's for lunch. It was an excellent first meal in Namibia—fresh, well-prepared, and a nice place to relax before heading into Windhoek for a few hours of sightseeing. When we returned, our room was ready. It had a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a lovely balcony. The hotel also surprised us with sparkling wine and macarons to celebrate our honeymoon, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. That evening, we stopped by the Skyview Bar for a glass of wine before dinner elsewhere. The views over Windhoek were lovely, and the heaters made it comfortable to sit outside after sunset. Breakfast the next morning was very good. There was a nice selection of fresh fruit and continental options, along with made-to-order hot breakfast. Our server, Old John, was especially warm and welcoming. Overall, The Weinberg was exactly what we were looking for after a long international flight: clean, comfortable, welcoming, and well located. We'd happily recommend it as a first stop before heading out to explore the rest of Namibia.

I had a wonderful experience at The Weinberg. Your team was friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Kevan at reception. He is incredibly trustworthy, thoughtful and kind. I accidentally left my laptop behind and he made sure it was kept safe until I got it. That level of honesty and care truly stood out.
A beautiful sanctuary above the city with top-tier apartments We stayed here at the very beginning of our Namibia round trip to decompress after the long-haul flight. The location is excellent—situated beautifully above the city, offering fantastic views. We stayed in one of the studios in the upper section, which turned out to be a massive, outstanding apartment. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated laundry room, a huge living area, and a separate dining room. Both bedrooms feature their own en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. There is also a wonderful private terrace equipped with a BBQ grill. The property is incredibly generous with amenities: a great coffee machine and complimentary drinks (including wine) were provided. Breakfast was a real highlight: a fine, high-quality small buffet complemented by an excellent a-la-carte menu. The egg dishes and breakfast platters are fantastic, and the coffee is properly made from a real portafilter machine. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was very good. Above all, the staff is wonderfully warm and welcoming. Our Travel Tip: If you are planning a long self-drive journey across the country, booking one of these upper studios is highly recommended. Having a private laundry room right at the start / middle / end allows you to perfectly prep your gear and clothes before hitting (again) the dusty gravel roads.
Been here twice this year and it’s become my go-to when staying in Windhoek. Clean, extremely well maintained, very tastefully designed- and comfortable. The rooms are a good size for two people even with big luggage’s. Staff is lovely and genuinely helpful. Breakfast is solid, and the hotel connects directly to Cape Town Fish Market, which is one of the best restaurants in town. There’s also a rooftop with great views of the city worth checking out! A bonus point- it’s a very safe area with 24/7 armed security, which is reassuring :)
The Weinberg is one of the most impressive hotel complexes in all of Namibia. Tucked away in the quiet suburb of Klein Windhoek, this boutique hotel features 40+ beauty appointed rooms and delivers a level of service that truly stands out. The panoramic views of the city from the Sky Lounge, the variety of restaurants across the estate, and the breakfast are the real highlights. Special mention to the breakfast - Western-style, with a variety worthy of the best European hotels. The coffee and the different egg preparations are outstanding. Another strong point is the security across the entiry hotel perimeter, with armed guards providing peave of mind throughout your stay. The underground parking with direct elevator access to the hotel is a great touch - it makes loading and unloading luggage effortless, especially before heading out to the desert. As areas for improvement: the hotel itself does not have its own swimming pool - something that feels almost necessary given Namibia's dry climate - and the bellyboys can be a bit insistent when offering to help arrange city activities. The estate has several restaurants, which means you can easily spend your days in Windhoek without ever needing to leave the complex - though I would highly recommend venturing out to nearby spots like Bougain Villas or Joe's Beerhouse. A unique place just minutes from the city centre. Do not leave without enjoying a meal at one of the estate's restaurants. You won't regret it!
